Barrera of Grand Prairie, TX; David Gonzalez of Temple, TX; daughter Beatrice Villegas and husband Umberto of Red Oak, TX; daughter Ofelia Salinas of Euless, TX; son Ray Barrera of Cedar Creek, TX; son Daniel Barrera of Grand Prairie, TX; son Joe Barrera and wife Thelma of Grand Prairie, TX; daughter Herlinda Trieschmann and husband Thomas of St. Louis, MO; daughter Laura Barrera of Bedford, TX; son Steve Barrera of Grand Prairie, TX; son Abel Barrera of Euless, TX; 12 grand-children; 20 great grand-children; and 4 great, great grand-children.
He raised his family in Abernathy, TX, north of Lubbock and was an active member at St. Isidore Catholic Church. He was also a member of St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church in Grand Prairie. He was a World War II veteran who will be missed dearly by his family and friends.
