Eleida was born October 18, 1933, in Pinar del Rio, Cuba, the daughter of Emiliano Valdes & Dolores Lazo.
Eleida married Juan Mario Tort in 1954 in Pinar del Rio, Cuba, for 58 years until his passing in 2012. They had 6 wonderful children. Her greatest accomplishment was her family who she loved dearly.

Grandchildren: Aimee Tort, Jessica Tort, Mario Tort Jr., Anthony Tort, Domonica Tort DeJesus, Vanessa Tort Pagel, Crystal Tort Segovia, Amber Tort, Andrew Tort, Brandon Tort, Stephanie Tort, Lauren Tort, Brooke Tort, Jaylen Tort, Maximus Tort. Great-grandchildren: Jacob Sanchez, Julian Davis, Mateo Tort, Benny Lara, Alexandria Tort, Sadie Lara, Joshua Lara, Lucas Tort, Greyson Tort, Camden Tort, Emma Segovia, and Mila Pagel. Great-Great Grandson, Bowen Carnes; and many beloved nieces and nephews.
Preceding in death are spouse, Juan Mario Tort; children, Jesus Tort; parents, Emiliano Valdes & Dolores Lazo.
She will be immensely missed and loved for eternity.
A visitation for Eleida will be held Monday, March 10, 2025 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Bean-Massey-Burge Funeral Home Beltline Road, 2951 S. Belt Line Road, Grand Prairie, TX 75052. A funeral service will occur Tuesday, March 11, 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, 2951 S. Belt Line Road, Grand Prairie, TX 75052. A committal service will occur Tuesday, March 11, 2025 from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM at Grand Prairie Memorial Gardens, 3001 S. Belt Line Rd, Grand Prairie, TX 75052.
Serving as pallbearers are Mateo Tort, Jaylin Tort, Joshua Lara, Max Tort, Benny Lara, Lucas Tort and Jacob Sanchez.
