Elijah Lamar Cooper

Elijah Lamar Cooper, age 17, of Grand Prairie, Texas passed away on Friday, May 21, 2021. Elijah Lamar Cooper was born May 17, 20041 to Calvin and Courtney. He lived his entire life in Grand Prairie, Texas where he started school at Bush Elementary and then Reagan Middle School and was currently enrolled in Grand Prairie High School.

Elijah was a big hearted-kind hearted young man. He was always caring and trying to help others. He loved his family and friends. He loved our family gatherings and looked forward to them. He loved football, basketball and his music, and we all know how he loved his chili cheeseburgers! Elijah has left us way too soon, but we can take comfort in knowing he is in his Mother's arms once again. Rest in Peace our sweet Angel, you will be missed.

Elijah is preceded in death by his mother, Courtney Cooper.

He is survived by his father Calvin Lamar Cooper; siblings: Breanna Cooper, Jakyrannee Phillips, Mercedes, Ashley, Candice Cooper, Lavell, Calvin Hamilton, Lavocheya Cooper, Michael Wright, Ketorah Cooper, Brandon Johnson; grandparents: Lessie Jenkins and her husband, Jent, Bnois King, Linda Mikesell, Roger Brunson; great-grandmother Ina Bussell and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

A memorial service will be held Friday, June 11, 2021 at Grand Prairie Funeral Home at 2pm.
