Esequiel Salas Diaz

Esequiel was born on September 26, 1949, in Aguasarca Mezquital, Durango Mexico. He married Mary Ann Diaz on July 26, 1975, and they were married for 51 years.

Esequiel worked as a truck driver, a construction foreman, and in maintenance. He worked for Zexel Company, Valeo Company, Austin Trucking Company, and Prairie Lakes Golf Course.

Esequiel was Catholic. He enjoyed gardening, he enjoyed breakfast dates with his wife at Whataburger daily, working on his house and his truck, golfing, watching westerns, spending time with family, and spending time with his dog, Bella and cat, Nelson.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann Diaz, daughter, Daniela Diaz and son-in-law, Jay Jay Macias, son, Ayden Diaz, adopted daughter, Celia Zamora, grandchildren, Chris Zamora and wife, Xochitl Zamora, Mikey Zamora, and Mary Ann Zamora, great-grandchildren, Natalia Zamora, Julian Zamora, and Aaron Zamora. He is also survived by four brothers and two sisters.

He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Maria Luisa Salas and Vicente Villa Diaz, and his sister, Clotilde Diaz.

Visitation will be held at Grand Prairie Funeral Home, 733 Dalworth Street, Grand Prairie, TX 75050, US, on September 24, 2026, from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
