

On March 9, 2024, our beloved Eudelia Juarez Herrera passed away peacefully in her sleep at age 82. Eudelia was born in Rio Hondo, Texas and settled in Grand Prairie, Texas to raise her family as a native Texan.
Eudelia was the mother of four daughters and a daughter in her heart who loved her dearly as she loved them. Eudelia was also well-loved by many others including but not limited to her many students.
Eudelia received her associate degree in education, while earning her bilingual teacher certification, then continuing to earn her bachelor’s degree in library science over a ten-year period which brought her great pride, while always making time to take great care of her family while working and going to school simultaneously.
Eudelia worked tirelessly to provide opportunities for her girls whether through Girl Scouts, extracurricular sports while guiding them through a Catholic based faith with much devotion.
Eudelia is survived by siblings. Rosita Leal, Narciso Juarez, Antonia Mehaffey, Leonardo Juarez. Eudelia is also survived by her daughters and their spouses. Norma H. Chacon, Nelda and Macario Veyna, Lillian and Greg Vaughan, Eudelia and Joseph Vanderbeck, and Luz J. and Aladin Martinez.
Eudelia is also survived by many grandchildren and their spouses. Norma and Arcel Zarate, Veronica and Guadalupe Martinez, Gustavo and Christina Chacon, Jr., Alexandro Chacon, Chalese Veyna, Brittany and Frank Escobar, Victoria and Colton McQuatters, US Marine LCPL Michael Veyna and fiancé Mackenzie Saenz, Alonzo DeLeon, Jr., Amanda and Tyler Wallace, Bailey, Grace, Mary, and Joseph Lee Vanderbeck, Austin and Erika Juarez, Gabriella and Staff Sergeant Joseph Belcher. Eudelia is also survived by many great-grandchildren. Delilah and Roberto Flores, Arcel Jr Zarate, Alaya, and John Ludwig, Jr., Gianni Martinez, Giovanni, Xavier, and Angelica Chacon, Camilo Veyna, Jahlani, and Enzo Escobar, Rylee, and Sophia McQuatters, Isabella, and Sebastian DeLeon, (soon to be born) Eden Wallace, Ismael, Isabella, James, and Liam Juarez. Eudelia would proudly boast about all her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great granddaughter on the way.
Eudelia was preceded in death by her parents, Jose and Blasita Juarez and siblings. Ismael Juarez, Isabel Juarez, Jesusa Ochoa, Rodolpho Juarez, Elidia Cortez, Magdalena Ryan, Josefina Carrizalez, Guadalupe Juarez, Adela Anzaldua and one great grandchild Angel Zarate.
