

He was born in Dallas, Texas, on April 13, 1947. Fernando dedicated his career to truck driving and proudly worked for Yellow Freight System for 35 years before retiring.
On April 13, 1983, he married Sandra Kay Barrientos, and together they shared 42 wonderful years of marriage.
Fernando had a passion for restoring old cars and loved listening to oldies music.
He is survived by his loving wife, Sandra K. Barrientos; children Tammy and Brett Woods, Anita and Bobby Garvin, and Douglas Barrientos (son); five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. He is also survived by many other extended family and friends who will miss him dearly.
He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings.

A funeral service will occur Wednesday, November 5, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, 733 Dalworth Street, Grand Prairie, TX 75050. A committal service will occur Wednesday, November 5, 2025 from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM at Moore Memorial Gardens, 1219 North Davis Drive, Arlington, TX 76012.
