

Frances Maureen Weiselberg was born August 24, 1934 in Traverse City, Michigan to Opal and Ernest Weiselberg while living at the home of her grandparents. She was baptized at First Christian Church, confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church, and later married, all in Traverse City.
Fran was the third of four children. Her parents grew many of their own vegetables and everybody helped pick tomatoes, peppers, beans, corn, cabbage and rhubarb for canning. Born with a strong German heritage, cabbage and sauerkraut were popular items on the menu for the family.
Fran's work history includes picking cherries to earn spending money, working at Montgomery Ward, secretary for an aircraft plant where helicopter blades were made, and at Michigan Bell as a long distance operator. She worked 22 years with Redman Industries where mobile homes were made and served as main payroll analyst, in charge of insurance, and all personnel records. She also worked for FEMA following hurricane Katrina.
After retiring, Fran enjoyed traveling including several cruises and a trip to Hawaii. She loved her trip to Europe, especially Germany that the church coordinated. She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church since 1983, sang in the choir, LWML, served as assistant treasurer, Director of Finance, updated the archives, and helped in the church office.
Fran was preceded in death by her three siblings and parents. She is survived by her three children: James Wilson of Grand Prairie, grandson Brandon, and 2 great-grandchildren, Alyssa and George; Donnie Wilson
(Davelle) of San Diego, CA and grandson Taylor and granddaughter Natalie; and daughter Kelly Terry (Keith) of Issaquah, WA and granddaughter Sarah and great-granddaughter Savannah, and grandson Ben.
