Francisco Perez

Francisco graduated from Menard High School and received his Bachelor’s Degree from West Texas State University. He was married to Elva Aguirre Perez on September 2, 1966 and had a career in address management for the United States Post Office. Francisco was a jokester who cheered for the Dallas Cowboys, Texas Rangers and Dallas Mavericks. He enjoyed gardening and golf. Francisco’s main focus in life was his family and his faith. He was a lifetime member of the Knights of Columbus #3460. A member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Grand Prairie since 1974 and a member of St. Vincent De Paul since 2003. Francisco and his wife Elva helped reconstruct St. Vincent De Paul. They started with only 4 members in the gym closet and worked up to a full gym. He helped bring the Knights of Columbus and St. Vincent De Paul together for donation at Christmas time. They remained involved with the distribution of clothing, food, and financial assistance to this day. St. Vincent De Paul was Francisco’s legacy. Through his involvement he received the Bishop’s Award in February of 2014. Francisco is preceded in death by his parents Hipolito Perez, Celestina Montalvo; wife Elva Aguirre Perez; sons Frank Dewayne Perez and Hector Perez. He is survived by his children Gregory Lee Perez and his wife Jasmin, Patsy Perez Anderson and her husband Michael, Christine Perez and partner Ranae Jones, Amanda Perez Brown and her husband Chad; grandchildren Izzack Gonzales and his wife Gracie, Ashlee Sawyer and her husband Cody, Julie Zamarron and her husband Filip Novac, Chris Anderson and his wife Cody, Gregory Perez Jr. and his wife Nicki, Devan Anderson, Justin Brown, Meagan Anderson, Adam Perez, Ryan Brown; great-grandchildren Marci Gonzales, Julizza Gonzales, Gabbi Gonzales, Aeva Anderson, Brantlee Sawyer, Adelyna Novac, Filip Novac, Ian Baker, Alden Perez and Michaela Myers; grandpuppies Cody Jones, Fancy Jones and Molly Jones. Visitation will be Tuesday, January 27, 2015 at Bean Massey Burge from 6-8pm with rosary at 6:30pm.

Service will be Wednesday, January 28, 2015 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church of Grand Prairie at 12:30pm.

Burial will be Wednesday, January 28, 2015 at Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery at 2:30pm.
