Fred was a very loyal man. He was married to Carol, whom he cherished with all his heart, for 63 wonderful years.
Fred spent most of his life in the Dallas Fort Worth metro area making a career with the U.S. Postal Service at DFW Airport. He was very proud of his service to his county in the United States Marine Corp in Korea. Fred served as a reserve Grand Prairie police officer for many years.
In his later years, he and his wife Carol were active school crossing guards in the city of Grand Prairie. Fred always welcomed everyone with a warm smile. He would look you in the eye, when he greeted you, with a jolly "hello" and a big ol' hug. He always brightened everyone's day. Fred was a very simple yet principled man.
His faith was imbodied in everything he did. Family was his world. His two son's and three daughters were everything to him. When he was with his grandchildren he glowed like the sun. Fred was very humble. He always would offer advice on what you should do, but always allowed you to figure it out. He was a true teacher in everything he did.
If you met him, you'd remember him. He would remember you and call you a friend. The simplest of things made Fred the happiest of all. Until you really got to know him, you would have never known the many blessing he bestowed upon people. Fred was one cool Gramps, who loved everyone. He had deep faith, loved his country and treasured his family.
Fred, until we meet again, we will cherish all the memories and take care of each other, just as you have always taught us.
Godspeed my friend!
