

Survivors: Wife of 49 years, Faith Ann (McMillan) Adams; daughters Amanda Hunt and husband Michael, Karen Gay and husband Selwyn, Robin Evans and husband Guy; grandchildren, Harlow and Harrison Hunt, Helena Gay and Shelby Evans; sisters BarBara Adams Matthews and Joan Hartley; and brother Robert Parker “Bob” Adams; nephew, Matt Matthews; nieces, Marcie Fincher, Melodie Cottingham; nephew, Robert Paul Hartley; nieces Carrie Simper and Amy Hann; close family friends, Phil and Linda Richardson.
He graduated from Grand Prairie High School and earned an undergraduate degree and MBA at Texas Christian University. After college, he worked in accounting as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) for many years. He loved Horned Frog Football and was known for spending his summers in Grand Teton National Park near Jackson, WY. His four grandchildren knew him as “Pop”. He was a member and served as deacon at Trinity Presbyterian Church, Grand Prairie, TX during his adult life. Jim was baptized as an infant and most recently, a member at St. Stephen Presbyterian Church, Fort Worth, TX.
Jim is preceded in death by his father, George Jewett Adams and his mother, Lillie Marie (Cook) Adams.
