Georgia Lynn Barr

Lynn was born on August 19, 1951, to Elmer and Betty Faris in Ft. Worth, Texas, beginning a life filled with love, laughter, and adventure. Lynn passed away peacefully at home on September 1, 2025, following a brief illness, with her loving sister by her side. Lynn graduated from Southwest High School in 1969, marking the start of her remarkable journey. After many fulfilling years as a mortgage underwriter, Lynn retired and discovered a new passion for raising parrots and other birds, inspiring those around her with her zest for life. Lynn's love for gardening and animals was a testament to her compassionate spirit.

Lynn was a loving daughter, wife, sister, aunt, and friend, touching countless hearts with her kindness.

Lynn is preceded in death by her parents Elmer and Betty Faris, husband Bennie Barr, and numerous pets, most recently Lola.

Lynn is survived by her sister Patricia Jordan and husband Carlton, son Jay Duree, grandchildren Harley and Bobby Duree, nephews Cody Jordan and wife Selena, Ryan Jordan and wife Stephanie, niece Nicole Jordan, as well as her fur babies Puppy, Tara, Millie, Allie, Ginger, and Socks; and her birds Smokey and Ozzy, whose lives were forever changed by her love.
