Gloria Caracheo

From a young age, Gloria was immersed in the vibrant beauty of her Mexican heritage. She proudly embraced family traditions, danced Ballet Folklorico with elegance, and found deep inspiration in the iconic art of Frida Kahlo. Her cultural pride was not just a part of her upbringing; it was a lifelong compass that shaped her spirit and values.

Gloria devoted her life to her family, and those who knew her will forever remember her infectious laughter, playful silliness, and the warmth of her generous heart. She radiated positivity and had a gift for making others feel seen and loved. Whether she was tending to her garden, cooking up something delicious, or watching her favorite shows—Friends, The Big Bang Theory, and The Office, she brought light and laughter to every moment.

A passionate advocate for Autism awareness, Gloria beamed with pride as she supported Lupita in the Special Olympics. Her love for music was equally profound. When the voices of Jenni Rivera, Selena, or Ángela Aguilar filled the room, Gloria sang with soul and conviction, as if each lyric echoed her own story. She also embraced her urban rhythm, jamming out to Latin hip-hop, freestyle, Tejano, and Cumbias. Car rides with Abby became joyful concerts, belting out favorites like JoJo Siwa with pure delight. And when she danced—whether at family gatherings or just around the house—she moved with grace, confidence, and a contagious energy that captivated everyone around her.

To her family, she was lovingly known as Goyita, Goya, and Galletas. To her husband, she was his Baby Boo. Her presence lit up every room, and her kindness left a lasting imprint on all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Gloria married Hector Prado, beginning a beautiful journey built on love, laughter, and unwavering devotion. Together, they shared six wonderful years of marriage, creating a life centered around family and happiness. She was a proud and loving mother to Alejandro, Lupita, Abby and Bella and grandmother to Baby Gloria.

She is survived by her children: Alejandro Rojas and his wife Elise; Guadalupe “Lupita” Orosco; Abbigail Orosco and Issabella Prado. She is also survived by her husband, Hector Prado; her granddaughter, Ms. Gloria Rojas; and her parents, Salvador and Maria Delfaud Caracheo. Gloria leaves behind her brother, Juan Ramirez and wife; two nephews and many cherished cousins. Family was everything to her, and she was never happier than when surrounded by those she loved.

Visitation for Gloria will be held Wednesday, September 3, 2025 from 5-8 PM at Grand Prairie Funeral Home in the chapel, located at 733 Dalworth Street, Grand Prairie, TX 75050. Funeral Mass will take place Thursday, September 4, 2025 at 10 AM at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, located at 610 N.E. 17th Street, Grand Prairie, TX 75050. Burial will take place at Grand Prairie Memorial Gardens, located at 3001 S. Beltline Road, Grand Prairie, TX 75052. Following the funeral service a celebration of life will be held in Mazaika Hall at St. Michael the Archangel Church located at 2910 Corn Valley Road, Grand Prairie, TX 75052.

Serving as pallbearers are Hector Prado, Alejandro Rojas, Juan Rafael Ramirez, Juan H. Ramirez, Viliulfo (Billy) Benitez Jr. and Nicolas Benitez Jr.

Gloria Caracheo, de 45 años, falleció pacíficamente el lunes 25 de agosto de 2025. Nacida el 19 de diciembre de 1979 en la Ciudad de México, fue la amada hija de María Delfaud y Salvador Caracheo.

Desde muy joven, Gloria estuvo inmersa en la vibrante belleza de su herencia mexicana. Abrazó con orgullo las tradiciones familiares, bailó Ballet Folklórico con elegancia y encontró una profunda inspiración en el arte icónico de Frida Kahlo. Su orgullo cultural no fue solo parte de su crianza; fue una brújula de por vida que moldeó su espíritu y sus valores.

Gloria dedicó su vida a su familia, y quienes la conocieron recordarán para siempre su risa contagiosa, su alegría juguetona y la calidez de su generoso corazón. Irradiaba positividad y tenía el don de hacer que los demás se sintieran vistos y amados. Ya sea cuidando su jardín, cocinando algo delicioso o viendo sus programas favoritos —Friends, The Big Bang Theory y The Office—, Gloria traía luz y alegría a cada momento.

Apasionada defensora de la concientización sobre el autismo, Gloria se llenaba de orgullo al apoyar a Lupita en las Olimpiadas Especiales. Su amor por la música también fue profundo. Cuando las voces de Jenni Rivera, Selena o Ángela Aguilar llenaban la habitación, Gloria cantaba con alma y convicción, como si cada letra reflejara su propia historia. También abrazó su ritmo urbano, disfrutando del hip-hop latino, freestyle, tejano y cumbias. Los viajes en auto con Abby se convertían en conciertos llenos de alegría, cantando con entusiasmo canciones de JoJo Siwa. Y cuando bailaba —ya fuera en reuniones familiares o simplemente en casa—, se movía con gracia, confianza y una energía contagiosa que cautivaba a todos a su alrededor.

Para su familia, era conocida con cariño como Goyita, Goya y Galletas. Para su esposo, era su Baby Boo. Su presencia iluminaba cualquier espacio, y su amabilidad dejó una huella imborrable en todos los que tuvieron el privilegio de conocerla.

Gloria contrajo matrimonio con Héctor Prado, comenzando un hermoso viaje lleno de amor, risas y una devoción inquebrantable. Compartieron seis maravillosos años de matrimonio, creando una vida centrada en la familia y la felicidad. Fue una madre orgullosa y amorosa de Alejandro, Lupita, Abby y Bella, y abuela de la pequeña Gloria.

Le sobreviven sus hijos: Alejandro Rojas y su esposa Elise; Guadalupe “Lupita” Orosco; Abbigail Orosco e Issabella Prado. También le sobreviven su esposo, Héctor Prado; su nieta, la Srta. Gloria Rojas; y sus padres, Salvador y María Delfaud Caracheo. Gloria deja atrás a su hermano, Juan Ramírez y su esposa; dos sobrinos y muchos primos queridos. La familia lo era todo para ella, y no había mayor felicidad que estar rodeada de sus seres amados.

La velación de Gloria se llevará a cabo el miércoles 3 de septiembre de 2025 de 5 a 8 p. m. en Grand Prairie Funeral Home, en la capilla ubicada en 733 Dalworth Street, Grand Prairie, TX 75050. La misa fúnebre se celebrará el jueves 4 de septiembre de 2025 a las 10 a. m. en la Iglesia Católica Immaculate Conception, ubicada en 610 N.E. 17th Street, Grand Prairie, TX 75050. El sepelio tendrá lugar en Grand Prairie Memorial Gardens, ubicada en 3001 S. Beltline Road, Grand Prairie, TX 75052. Después del servicio fúnebre, se realizará una celebración de vida en Mazaika Hall de la Iglesia St. Michael the Archangel, ubicada en 2910 Corn Valley Road, Grand Prairie, TX 75052.
