Dear Greg, very sorry to hear of your passing. I remember you in school when tou were a gopher guard. Haven't kept up with many of my classmates due to my service in the Air Force. I know for sure you're in a much better place where there is no suffering. God Bless you my friend and R.I.P.

Greg, you helped Randy more than you will know! Just when he couldn't stand being around women, he would get to spend time with you and talk sports. After being with you, he could face another day with all girls! Seriously, Greg and Rhonda have been an inspiration to so many of us, and God used you to teach us so many things about life, death, and victory in Jesus! The Holy Spirit was definitely in your memorial service. We love you, Greg, and you will be missed by all who were lucky enough to be in your life.

This old Gopher coach is proud to call you "friend". I had so much fun working with you these past few years for the AirHogs. Your courage during this battle was inspirational. I will miss you every time I hear "Sooey Pig" or the Rangers win or there is any sports story we would've visited about, but I won't miss you beating me in Words With Friends! Miss you, buddy!

No matter where we traveled, Greg always knew a train track or two we should stop and see. Or the perfect detours to just a couple more sports stadiums he needed a picture of. No matter where we headed, Greg knew the way. Now he has shown many through his faith and obedience in Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, the road to travel to reach Eternity. Greg was, and will remain an important and loved member of our family. OK, Greg. You lead the way. We'll see you soon, brother.

I worked with Greg at the Grand Prairie Daily News when he was a kid -- he was a solid journalist with a dedication to the trade and an understanding of how newspaper journalism worked. He's a good guy who made our world better.

So many memories, so little space. The Best Neighbors anybody could have. From Day 1 in our new house, there was Greg Goffinet helping us move in. Many nights hanging out in the sac with a chimnae and a case of beer. Many afternoons during football season being outside and still hearing Greg from inside his house yelling. But no man can ever amount to his ability to make you laugh and make you love. Without Greg and Rhonda Goffinet, I would not be the parent I am today. Dont ever think that it couldnt be a sudden burst of thunder during an Arkansas game because it is Greg yelling from Heaven.

What a joy to have known Greg for almost 40 years. You inspired me with your courage, faith, friendship, loyalty, compassion, passion and family values. You took a childhood passion for sports and made it your life. You stayed true to your hometown and your home team, I always admired and respected that about you. You will be missed by many and today our hearts are saddened. We are consoled with the memories you left us with and knowing that we will meet again in heaven. God bless Rhonda and the Goffinet family during this time. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

My thoughts and prayers are with friends and family right now.. Greg was a great guy, father, husband and friend. I choose to remember him on the sidelines of the GPYFA Jets football game screaming at the Ref's. He was such a quiet man.. My you be coaching in the heavens and keeping scores for all. You will be missed.
