

She went to what was then Western Michigan College of Education in Kalamazoo. After graduating with a Home Economics degree, she pursued her dream of studying fashion design at The Three Arts Club in Chicago and later became an instructor there.
Sue was always very involved in the Presbyterian church serving in a variety of roles including singing in the choir most of her life. She also sang with several other groups for many years including Monday Musical Club of Michigan and Lakeland Choral Society.
Sue was very talented at a wide variety of arts and crafts and was a long-time member of the Weavers Guild. Sue and George were also avid tent campers and loved sitting around a campfire.
After raising their family first in Battle Creek and then St. Joseph, Michigan, she and George moved to Kerrville, Texas, in 1998, to be closer to their grandchildren. Sue again sang in the church choir and with other vocal groups, and she performed in several more musicals – including as a “schoolgirl” in The Mikado at age 80! They relocated to Cedar Hill, Texas, in 2010.
Sue was preceded in death by her parents, Maynard and Josephine McKinnon; sister, Mary Elizabeth Neuwirth; son, Lee Fitch; and her husband of 69 years, George Fitch.
She is survived by children Ann Fitch (Hutch Evans), Ed Fitch (Irene), Becky Price (Thomas), and Jim Fitch (Linda); grandchildren Erin Fitch, Drew Fitch, Sean Price (Gina), Chris Fitch (Tanya), and Kendra Price, and great grandchild Evie Fitch.
