My condolences to the family, I knew Herbert since 72"...went to Jefferson Jr. High with Herbert, we used to get together on afternoons after school, get our friends together and have some good football games, He used to come over and visit, always wanting some taquitos, loved home cooked mexican food. Was like a brother from another mother to us... Castillo familia. Will greatly be missed. My prayers to family. God Bless.

Herbert was a dear friend of mine . On many occasions he filled me with the desire to take each day one at a time . This man helped me stay sober many nights . He saw potential in me and pushed me to do my very best . I will miss my buddy and looking forward to seeing him upstairs . Love you brother . Keep a chair ready for me for when the Lord calls me home .

Herbert was the eyes and ears of the neighborhood. Always watching over us and protecting our street. He will be sorely missed, but he is in his heavenly home watching just as he did here. We had many early morning talks in the the middle of the street just catching up. Many prayers to his wonderful family at this time.
