I considered Irene a good friend even though we lost touch the past few years. She went out of her way to befriend me at our homeschool co-op, and the relationship grew from there. I have fond memories of going to Six Flags with our kids, and chatting over lunch or at lady’s game nights. She was often the one who invited and encouraged me to go which I greatly needed as a homeschool mom of three, one of whom has significant special needs. She was an inspiration to others as she expressed her faith in God outwardly, and how she dealt with ongoing physical issues. She was also extremely dedicated to raising her son in Christ’s ways, and providing him with an excellent education. I am so sorry my sweet friend is no longer shining her light on this earth. But I rejoice (with mourning) in knowing she is now renewed in her heavenly body, worshipping (a favorite activity of hers) and praising God forever in paradise. My family sends our prayers and love to David, Stephen, and the rest of her loved ones. May God surround you with His strength, comfort and peace now and in the future. Irene was a sweet and caring coworker. She believed in God and she was a praying woman of God! We knew each other only briefly but her presence in the Irving and Grand Prairie offices will be missed. To the family I pray God gives you the strength to get through this difficult time.
