Jack Merwin Pike, 92, passed away August 30, 2016. He was born November 28, 1923 in Bagwell, TX. He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII, USS Lubbock. Jack was a big Dallas Cowboys fan, Texas Rangers fan, and he loved track and field. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ethel Marie Pike. Ethel passed away exactly 5 years before him - she passed away on August 30, 2011. Jack is survived by daughter, Leesa Nelson and son-in-law Clif ; 3 grandchildren, Amanda Nelson, Alison Thornton and husband Austin, Shawn Nelson and wife Delaina; sister, Joye King; sister-in-law, JoAnne Pike; nieces, Janette Dry, Janet Moody, Kay Cornelius and husband Bob; nephews, Preston King, Scott Pike, Rex Davis and wife Linda, Rod Davis and wife Mimi; many great nephews, nieces and cousins. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to charity of choice. Visitation will be 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm, Saturday, September 3, 2016 at Bean-Massey-Burge Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Service: 2:00 pm, Saturday, September 3 at Bean-Massey-Burge Chapel. Private burial at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery.
