Jacqueline "Jackie" McGough Conley

August 15, 1951July 26, 2020

Jacqueline Ruth (McGough) Conley, of Mansfield, TX, lost her quick and fierce fight against Leukemia and joined Our Heavenly Father, on July 26, 2020. Jackie was born in San Diego, CA on August 15, 1951. She met the Love of her life Jack Conley in February 1970 and wasted no time marrying in July 17, 1970. They just celebrated 50 years of wedded bliss! Jackie will continue to watch over all of us, especially her two daughters, with Jack, Jill Aston and Julie Frakes. Jackie adored being a Nana to her grandchildren, Lee (21), Kayla (19), Kai (11) and Ruby (8). Her younger brothers Danny and Richard will hold her in their hearts forever as an amazing Big Sister!

As a prophet of God, Jackie always volunteered her time in the Children’s Ministry at Cross Point Church, Grand Prairie; this brought her so much joy throughout the years! Tennis was Jackie’s passion. She was a competitive player with her multiple doubles teams, and we know they will miss her intense love of the game on the courts and the amazing friendships she formed off the court!

Everyone who knew Jackie felt her bright light, beaming smile, zest for life, and love of the Lord! In honor of her, we ask for you to shine your light and give your time and love as she did, as an example of what it means to be a Christian to give selflessly to others. In lieu of flowers or food for the family, please make a donation to St. Jude’s Child Leukemia Research, Cross Point Children’s Ministry or USTA Scholarship foundation for Youth (links below) in her name. Due to the uncertain times, the family has decided to not hold a service as YOUR family’s health is our primary concern. Please use this webpage to share your favorite picture, memories, or a time she touched your life with her giving and glowing Spirit.

My heart has been so heavy ever since learning of Jackie’s passing. She was my sister in law and my friend. I have such good memories of her ! I learned so much from her.. We worked together at Merle Norman back in the 70’s. She was such an inspiration to me and to many others. We had a lot of fun , heart to heart talks & was more like an older sister to me. We had our babies together , had get togethers at my in laws house.Lots of good memories. She had a passion for tennis even way back then. I will always remember Jackie and her beautiful smile her enthusiasm for life & positive attitude!! She loved the Lord , her family & her friends. Jackie & Jack were such a cute couple together .. until we meet again sweet Jackie I love you.

So many great memories with Jackie and Jack! We shared church, small groups, vacations, being golf “widows”, New Year’s Eves - all too numerous to count. Having girls a few years older than mine, I often relied on her advice for raising a teenage girl. Jackie was also a friend and mentor to my teen daughter and shared teaching in the nursery with her. Such a good friend, hosting wedding showers for my children. With our husbands often together, she was a sounding board on Godly marriage! Such a great and true friend.

Jackie was so proud of her girls and her grandchildren. She had texted me in Sept 27, 2019 “ Steve would be so proud of us both our grand kids are at A&M and Lee got his ring today. What a fun place! We miss Steve all the time and I see you on face book with your beautiful grand kids”.

Her smile and laugh and love for the Lord will always be with me!

May all of your special memories bring you all comfort as you remember how much she loved you!

I’m sure Steve welcomed Jackie with a hug and a joke!

I have many fond memories of Jackie. She was a very special person - always willing to help you in any way. We played tennis together, went to the US Open together, and had many dinners and luncheons together with friends. I will always remember her helping with my children - using her clubhouse for my daughter's wedding reception - and will never forget her bringing this huge poster back from New York!!
I am so sorry and am praying for her family as they grieve for the loss of this wonderful lady.

Jackie had a way of making you feel like no time had passed. Every time we talked or saw each other it brought peace to our hearts. She cared deeply for her brothers and checked on them often. Jackie was a care giver. When her mom was sick she didn’t think twice to stop and help her dad. She was passionate about everything she did, but especially God, her family, and tennis. While we will miss Jackie on earth we know she is celebrating in heaven with her loved ones. Until we meet again!

My grandmother was the best Nana there has ever been, or ever will be. No person will be as accepting and kind as she was to every person she crossed paths with- I was just one of the few lucky ones who got to see her weekly for 19 years. Many of you may know me as “my granddaughter is calling, I have to go!”, so I must apologize for stealing some of your precious time from her. The world may have lost its best Nana, but Heaven has gained the best Guardian Angel.

I know you’re up there Nana; keep an eye on us until we see you again. For now, win lots of Heavenly tennis matches and I love you more.

Jackie was a beautiful lady inside and out. We always enjoyed being with her wherever we were - whether on a trip to Europe or Southeast Asia, or in the living room at home . She was a very energetic person and was always a good person to go to for excellent advice. We will miss her. Our hearts go out to her lovely girls Jill and Julie and their children.

Love, Carolyn and Jim Pasternak
