My condolences go out to Coach Murray and his family. He was a legend around these parts and one of my biggest personal disappointments in my life is that I did not get a chance to play under Coach Murray, missing out by 6 months.

My prayers go out to his family and friends.

Coach, It was an honor and privilege to be a part of your program ('90-'94). You not only taught us lessons in football but life as well. Thank you for, well, being you.

My deepest condolences to the Murray family. Coach, You were a mentor and a friend and I was proud to be your student secretary in 1982-83. It meant so much to me to see you when I came to TX for my 20th reunion in 2003. I'll never forget you telling me at graduation.. "Life will never be this simple again".  May you rest in peace Coach. I will never forget you!

Coach, you were a true leader who helped mold boys into men. Your guidance will always be remembered and appreciated. You helped me more than you ever knew and for that I am truly blessed. May God be with the Murray family during this time-thanks Coach!

Coach Murray was such a great man!  He was like a second Dad to me!  He was there when I was born, and continued to be there for me throughout high school.  There will never be another like him!

Coach Murray will be missed.  Prayers for peace are with Charlene and family. That unmistakable voice will now be gracing Heaven.  I've grown up with the stability of Ken my entire life in Grand Prairie.  He's made a huge impact on so many athletes, and I know his legacy will continue.  Thank you, Lord, for giving us Coach Murray.

Coach Murray, You were such an inspiration to so many during our high school years. You will be greatly missed and we were truly blessed to have had you in our lives at GPHS.

Coach, you were a fantastic leader, mentor and example of a man for all us young men growing up as Gopher football players.  I will truly miss the one on one conversation we shared, in the field house, in the weight room, in the film room, on the field and more importantly the ones in your office.  It was there I realized you were making me not into a good football player but a great man.  I will miss hearing you call me…LBJ

Our thoughts and prayers are with you, Charlene, and your beautiful family.  Our hearts are heavy for the loss of a wonderful father, friend and coach.  I was so honored to know and work with Ken--the staff, students and athletes of Grand Prairie schools are blessed for having had Ken touch their lives.  He will be greatly missed. I have known Kenny since I was a little girl.  He was a best friend to my brother, Ken, and most of all, the love of my cousin, Charlene's, life. I was always thrilled when he would come to our home and spend time with our family.  When I lost my son, Kenny and Charlene came and Kenny took a picture at the cemetary  and sent it to me that I will always treasure. I have known Kenny since i was just a little girl - best friend of my brother, Ken and and the love of my cousin, Charlene's life.  Was such a sweet and caring person.  As a little girl, I thought he was the most handsome guy around and loved it so much when he and Ken would spend time at the house.  The last time I saw Kenny and Charlene was at my son's funeral and I will always be grateful and thankful for a picture that he took and sent to me of my son's casket.  I wouldn't have it now if it were not for Kenny.  Charlene, my thoughts and prayers are with you and the girls.  I will be in touch.  Love, gilda.......

I am saddened beyond words over the passing of my beloved grandfather. I am so lucky to have shared 23 years with you and I cherish every memory you have given me to hold on to. My most heartfelt sympathy is sent to the Murray family. Coach meant so much to me not only as a football player but in my other athletic and life pursuits. If we could replicate his gentle but firm leadership style in todays schools, we would be able to provide the same great experience Coach gave so many of us. 
Coaches have the most difficult task of "raising" other peoples kids and give so much of their time to do that. To Coach's family, thank you for sharing him; he made a difference in all of our lives.

My thoughts and prayers go out to Coach Murray's family. He was a such a wonderful person and inspired so many of the students that attended Grand Prairie High School during the '80. My fondest memories of Coach Murray was his leadership in taking our football team to the playoffs for two years straight. Thanks for the memories Coach!
