

James A White (52) of Grand Prairie, TX went to be with his Lord June 10, 2013. He was born September 27, 1960 in Dallas, TX to James and Nancy White. James is a true Texas boy, raised in Grand Prairie, graduated from South Grand Prairie High School in 1979, played the drums in band. He was a very hard working man, with great work ethics. He spent 16 plus years as I.T. Manager at Levi Strauss. He was conservative, strong-willed and enjoyed his privacy. He also had strong political views. He enjoyed the quiet, desired to have his own log cabin one day. He was very family-oriented, dubbed “cool Uncle A” by nieces and nephews. Loved his family, helped raise nieces and nephews; taught them to drive and enjoyed party boat rentals at Joe Pool Lake. He enjoyed being alone with the exception of his Turtle “Paloma”. She was a gift from his niece that he fell head over heels for, making sure if he wasn’t home to tend to her someone was. All of his nieces were, "sweet girl." When it came to football season he cheered for several teams, along with the Dallas Cowboys. He was a fan of classic rock, particularly Stevie Nicks. His favorite restaurants, Joe T’s and Herrera’s Tex-Mex in Dallas. He was also a member of the NRA. James is preceded by his mother Nancy White. He is survived by his father James Edward White; brother William White and wife Becky; sister Vicki Irwin; Cousin Derek Mayfield; niece Sage White, Staci Cooper and husband Jimmy, Renee Irwin, Pat Hilburn and husband Greg, Alexis Horton and husband Chris; nephew Lance White, Kyle White and wife Jeannette, Jarod White and wife Danielle, Mark Hurlbut; great-niece Kennedi Cooper, Ellie Horton, Jocelyn White, Marena Hurlbut; great-nephew Linden Hilburn, Max Hurlbut, and 2nd cousin Heather Mayfield.
