

Jeanette Borst, born April 5, 1937, in Foxworth, Mississippi, passed away on March 14, 2026. She lived a life defined by hard work, devotion to family, and a quiet, steady strength that shaped everyone who knew her.
Jeanette began her working years at Barq’s Root Beer in Biloxi, Mississippi, serving as a bottle inspector. She later joined Libby’s Restaurant, a place that would change her life forever. It was there she met the love of her life, James Roger Borst. The two were married on October 10, 1954, in a ceremony officiated by her grandfather—an honor she cherished throughout her life.
Jeanette was preceded in death by her beloved husband James Roger Borst; her father Jimmie Strickland; her mother Annie Mae Strickland; her sister Julia Lamb; her brother Joe Strickland; her sister Jimmie Nell Zimmerman; her brother Dickie Strickland; her sons Elvin Jay Borst and Raymond Edward Borst; and her daughter in law Joann Borst.
Jeanette’s legacy continues through her loving family. She is survived by her daughters Cherie Ann Stockard and June Rochelle Pace.
She was blessed with four granddaughters who brought her immense joy:

• Catherine Jean Stockard
• Ash Lea Nichole Tenorio, married to Jorge Tenorio
• Cal Lea Renee Dorsey, married to Kolby Dorsey
Jeanette’s love extended to her great grandchildren, who brightened her later years:

• Ayden Alexander Tenorio
• Brinleigh Nichole Dorsey
• Hudson Keith Dorsey
Jeanette is also survived by her granddaughter Emily Raejean Borst, daughter of her late son Raymond and the late Joann Borst.
Jeanette will be remembered for her resilience, her loyalty to those she loved, and the many lives she touched along the way. Her memory lives on in the generations who carry her strength, her spirit, and her love forward.
