I am sorry for your families loss. Praying for the family with comfort from our Lord. I met Jo Beth when she was dating Tommy Walker. (Andrews, TX. ) We became friends right away. She and her family lived about 1 block from my house. Jo Beth, Sharon Perkins Walker, Connie Beileu Havens, Gail Powers Reilly, Dixie Payne Brown and I ran around together. We used to sneak out of my parents house and walk up to about N.W.11th St. One night we saw some crab apple trees and as we were enjoying our apples when a police car came up and was wondering if MY mother knew what we were doing? Since my mother worked at the sheriff's office they just checked in with mother and remained just behind us until we walked in my driveway. We had excellent sleep overs and danced our lil ' legs off at the youth center as well as our trips to see different entertainers.( My brother, Tommy Hester drove most of us to youth dances.) BUT the guy that did all that leg shaking did not impress us. I loved Jo Beth and I will miss her. We shared phone calls and laughed like young girls. She was a sweet person. (Paragon Drive-Inn was good--loved those steak fingers).
We were blessed to have lived, loved and taught right from wrong (and to be respectful to others) in that wonderful town called Andrews, Tx .
Jo Beth, I will see you in Heaven!

I shall always remember Jo Beth as a classmate at Andrews High School. She and I graduated from AHS in 1961. The Humble Florey Camp where she lived in Andrews, became a park after Humble closed this employees housing area. My family visited Jerome, Arizona, where she was born, many times. I am so glad that she no longer has to suffer with MSA. She is now in Heaven with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Just being around her at Andrews High School was such a joy. I want her family to know that even though she is gone, I shall never forget what a sweet wonderful person she was.

Life doesn’t always turn out as we plan but the wonderful memories that Jo Beth and I made will last a life time! I get a smile on my face when I remember all the fun times we had together! I have so many wonderful memories growing up with Jo Beth. All the cheerleading trips, many football games, basket ball games, track meets and dances at the Youth Center! Love the overnights we had together as well as all those overnight slumber parties.. always at her house.. that was the fun place! I’m so thankful we were able to spend time together at our last school reunion! We had so much fun and lots of laughter! I will miss Jo Beth and will always cherish those wonderful memories of great times with my sweet special friend! We said ‘I Love You’ the last time we talked! Unforgettable words!
I know she’s with our Lord and I will see her again one day!
