Jo Ann Cothran

Jo Ann was in the last graduating class of Hardin High School. She was a member of Unity Cumberland Presbyterian Church where she taught Sunday School. After her marriage, she moved to Grand Prairie, TX where she spent her adult life. Jo Ann married William Clark Cothran and became a homemaker. She had a never ending love for dogs and there was not a time in her entire life that she did not own one.

In Texas, a Visitation for Jo Ann will be held Friday, November 3, 2023 at 10:00 AM at First Baptist Church of Grand Prairie, 950 Mayfield Road, Grand Prairie, Texas 75052, followed by a Celebration of Life at 11:00 AM. Additional services will be held before burial in Unity Cemetery of Unity Community in Marshall County, KY.

Jo Ann was preceded in death by her parents, Ollie and Jewel Jones; husband, William Clark Cothran; and sister, Ann Danner of Murray, KY. Jo Ann is survived by sister, Betty Miller of Flemingsburg, KY, brother, Larry Jones of Benton, KY, nephew, Stephen Miller, wife Kathy of Flemingsburg, KY, grand-niece, Stephanie Craft, husband Cory of Flemingsburg, KY, grand-nephew, Aaron Miller of Flemingsburg, KY, two great grand-nephews, Landon and Aiden Croft of Flemingsburg, KY.

In Kentucky, a Visitation will be held between the hours of 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. on Monday, November 6, 2023 at Collier Funeral Home, 211 West 5th Street, Benton, KY 42025. Funeral service will take place at 1:00 p.m., Bro. Wayne Hopkins officiating. Interment will follow in the Unity Cemetery.
