Joe Eddlemon

Joe Eddlemon, age 78, of Grand Prairie, Texas, passed away on August 4, 2026. Born on June 20, 1948, in Corpus Christi, Texas, Joe moved to Grand Prairie as a child. He spent the rest of his life there with his family, building a legacy in the community he loved.

A dedicated worker from an early age, Joe spent his youth and adult life working at Eddlemon’s Food Shop until 2006. He then brought his familiar smile and hard work to Eddlemon Brothers at Prairie Lakes Golf Course, working from 2006 until his retirement in 2023.

Outside of work, Joe was a passionate collector of nostalgic Coca-Cola bottles, antique milk bottles, coins, and sports memorabilia. He was a devoted fan and longtime season ticket holder for the Texas Rangers.

His favorite place to unwind was Port Aransas, where he loved the simple joy of relaxing on the balcony, looking out at the water, and searching for seashells.

Joe was a deeply devoted father, grandfather, brother, and friend.

He is survived by his daughter, Elizabeth Eddlemon-Eureste, and son-in-law, Orlando Eureste. As a proud grandfather, his legacy lives on through Mya, Micah, and Myles. Joe also leaves behind his brothers, David and Johnny Eddlemon, including their families; he is additionally survived by his former spouse and dear friend, Pamela Bradshaw. He was preceded in death by his parents, John Oscar Eddlemon and Rebecca Ann Plummer, alongside his oldest brother, Michael.

A memorial and celebration of life for Joe will be held on Friday, August 28th at the Ruthe Jackson Center, 3113 S. Carrier Parkway, Grand Prairie, TX 75052. Doors will open at 5:00 PM, and the memorial will begin at 5:30 PM. The service will include a special time for family and friends to share their favorite memories.

Refreshments will be served, and a cash bar will be available.

In honor of Joe's relaxed nature, the family requests casual attire. Guests are warmly encouraged to wear Texas Rangers gear or vintage Eddlemon's shirts.
