Joe Yurko, 52, formerly from Hermitage, Pennsylvania went to be with the Lord unexpectedly on Saturday, October 11, 2014. Joe was born October 24, 1961, in Sharon, Pennsylvania. He was an IT director of Enterprise Infrastructure for DTCC. Joe was affiliated with Linux Expert, Linux Community, DFW Information Technology Consultants, AIX Specialists, The Linux Foundation, Boy Scouts of America, and the Harley Davidson Home Group. Joe is survived by his wife, Nancy Yurko, his sons, Nick Yurko and his wife Monique of Newport News, Virginia, and Alex Yurko and his wife Rosa of Irving, Texas; father, Nick Yurko and his wife Martha of Juneau, Alaska; sister, Mary and her husband Mike Elnser of Juneau, Alaska; 13 nieces and nephews and many friends. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Humane Society of Irving, or the Irving Cares Food Bank. Visitation: 6 pm to 8 pm, Wednesday, October 15, 2014 at Bean-Massey-Burge Funeral Home in Grand Prairie. Funeral Service: 1:00 pm, Thursday, October 16, 2014 at Bean-Massey-Burge Funeral Home Chapel in Grand Prairie.
