He was an ordained minister and earned his Doctorate of Theology on May 8, 1998. John had many different career objectives in his life from pastoring churches, working retail sales, machinist and a sixth grade Science teacher. He enjoyed his children, his cats and his daylilies. His mortal life ended on February 2, 2021. His body will be laid to rest at Southland Cemetery.
He is survived by his siblings David F. Turrentine of Tool, TX; Margaret Cline of Arlington, TX; his children John A. Turrentine III and wife Julia of Duncanville, TX; Deby Turrentine of Texarkana, AR; and Bill Buell and wife Holly of San Antonio, TX; his grand children Sophie Phillips, Kayla Buell and Nick Buell and many cousins and other relatives. John knew the Lord Jesus Christ as his personal Savior and is in Heaven with his Lord. Praise the Lord!
