Josefina was a great cook, loved music and dancing, and loved to crochet. She enjoyed spending time with her family. She also liked playing Bingo and visiting Winstar to gamble, when she was able.
Josefina is preceded in death by her parents; Quirino and Aurora Selvera and her husband, David Prado; and brother, Tony Selvera.
Josefina is survived by her four daughters; Josephine Garcia, MaryAnna Prado, Barbara Artis, and Rachel Prado; grandchildren, Jose Garcia, Jr., Jacob Garcia, Stella Prado Zavala, Victoria Cruz, Sonya Wall, Julian Rodriguez; great grandchildren; Samuel Pedroza, Alejandro Zavala, Serenity Cruz, Annabelle Cruz, Angel Zavala and Anthony Cruz; and siblings; Betty De La Cruz, Joe Selvera, Kino Selvera and Frank Selvera.
A visitation for Josefina will be held Friday, October 6, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Grand Prairie Funeral Home, 733 Dalworth Street, Grand Prairie, TX 75050. A funeral service will take place Monday, October 9, 2023 at 11:30 AM at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, 2910 Corn Valley Road, Grand Prairie, TX 75052. A graveside service will follow at 1:00 PM at Grand Prairie Memorial Gardens, 3001 S. Belt Line Road, Grand Prairie, TX 75052.
Serving as pallbearers are L. Cruz, Abisahi Zavala, Samuel Pedroza, Michael Wall, James Artis, Jessie Ochoa, Jose Garcia, Jr. and Francisco Quintero.
