Joseph Brennan

Visitation and rosary will be held at Bean Massey Burge Funeral Home on Wednesday, May 27, 2026, from 5:00–8:00 PM. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, May 28, 2026, at 10:00 AM at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church in Grand Prairie, Texas.

Joe was born on July 30, 1955, in Sioux City, Iowa, and had made his home in DeSoto, Texas, for the past 24 years.

For 27 years, Joe served as the Administrative Director for the law firm of Figari & Davenport, where he was deeply respected and valued. He was also an active member of the Association of Legal Administrators (ALA), Dallas Chapter. His dedication to his work and colleagues was unwavering.

Joe had a gift for home improvement and interior finish work, generously sharing his talents with family and friends. He cherished time spent with his large family and the many friends who filled his life with joy. Holidays, gatherings, and celebrations were among his happiest moments. He especially loved his annual beach trips to Gulf Shores, Alabama, and riding his wave runner on area lakes.

Joe had a big heart and a caring soul. He devoted his life to the people he loved and to the work he believed in. He was the steady rock of the family—dependable, generous, and always present.

Joe was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Rose Brennan, his sister Martha Howard, and his brother Patrick Brennan.

He is survived by his brother James Brennan (Barbara); sisters Mary Lawhorn (Mike), Monica Meador, Maureen Land (Tommy), Maretta Chokas (Mitch), and Michelle Stoker (Darryl); along with numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and three beloved godchildren. Joe was deeply involved in all of their lives, and his presence will be profoundly missed.

A faithful parishioner of St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, Joe was loved by many and will be missed immensely.
