Joyce Faye Buie

Joyce Faye Buie, age 84, of Grand Prairie, Texas passed away on Monday, November 29, 2021. Joyce was born August 19, 1937 in Denton, Texas to George and Geneva Milligan. Joyce graduated from Gurdon High School in Gurdon, Ar. Shortly after graduation she met Jim Buie in Arkansas and they were a true testament to opposites attract. Joyce was a independent, private woman. She had a feisty side but was caring and a sweetheart. The couple settled in the DFW area and started their family. Joyce was an avid Dallas Cowboy and Texas Ranger fan, she also enjoyed watching NASCAR. She had a strong faith and raised her boys to love the Lord. Her greatest passion was spending time with her family and fishing. She taught her sons how to fish and loved to fish off the Lake Lewisville Barge. Joyce is survived by her son Brett Buie, son Wade Buie and wife, Roxie; grandchildern: Chase Buie, Curtis Buie and wife Amber, Rachel Pruitt and husband Ken, Layla Woody and husband, Devin, Jackson Buie; Great grandchildren: Vaughan Buie, Eban Buie and Graysen Pruitt. Joyce was preceded in death by her former husband Jim Buie; her brother Dale Milligan; her mother Geneva Margaret Hopkins Milligan; her father George Ray Milligan; her sister-in-law Mary Alice Cox; her sister-in-law George Litton and her sister-in-law Jo Ann Willis.
