

Joyce Annette "Flip" Nichols, 59, of Arlington, TX, by way of Kalamazoo, MI & Chicago, IL, made her transition May 05, 2016. Joyce was born in Chicago, IL on July 13, 1956, to Mr. Benjamin A. Nichols Sr. & Mary L. Nichols. The 4th of ten children.
Joyce attended Libby Elementary School, receiving a diploma to go on to Gage Park High School, transferring to finish at Woodlawn Prep High School, where she met her friend and daughter's father, Albert (Pops) Fountain Jr., and received her high school diploma.
Joyce held several jobs working as a letter carrier for the United States Postal Service, South Shore Nursing Home, and Daycare Services in Chicago, IL. She loved kids and caring for others.
Joyce was also a volunteer for the Salvation Army Food Pantry, in Kalamazoo, MI. Joyce's main occupation was holding the family together by being "Flip".
Joyce is survived by two children, Cara Nichols-Fountain, Cavell Nichols-Watkins and Grandson, Jaylen Nichols-Fountain.
Six brothers, Benjamin Nichols Jr., Demarco Nichols, Allen Nichols, Virgil Turner, Sammy Howard and Anthony Davis.
Four sisters, Eddie Lynch, Patricia Spencer(Jesse) Pamela Jorden(Bennard) and Taffy Turner.
Six Aunts, Erma Rigby of Alabama, Clara Jasper of MI, Dorothy King and Barbara Hood of Arkansas, Theresa Wilhite of Texas, Claudelle Winston, of Kentucky
Three uncles, El Percy Nichols of Chicago, Isaiah Nichols, of California, and Arzell Nichols of Georgia.
Joyce was preceeded in death by her mother, Mary L. Nichols and Father, Benjamin A. Nichols Sr., Brother, Jimmie Lee Nichols, Sister and brother, Timothy and Betty Nichols.
She leaves to cherish a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
