

Service: 9 a.m. Friday in Bean-Massey-Burge Chapel. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Memorials: In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the National Stroke Association or St. Joseph's Episcopal Church in Grand Prairie.
Nita was a beloved wife, mother, sister and grandmother. She was born July 18, 1936, in Grand Prairie, where she was a lifelong resident. She graduated from Grand Prairie High School in 1954. Nita was a devoted mother and grandmother and rarely missed attending any events in which her three sons or her grandchildren were involved. Her business career included a long stint with the local office of Urban Renewal/HUD. Nita povided housing assistance to many families during this time and rose to the position of assistant director of the local office. She then worked for nearly 20 years as office manager for Serviceman Supplies, a family-owned HVAC distribution business in Arlington. Nita was a longstanding member of St. Joseph's Episcopal Church in Grand Prairie and served the church in various capacities over the years. She particularly enjoyed her participation in the Daughters of the King.
Nita and her husband, Pat, enjoyed traveling and spending time with family, especially at a family lake lot at Possum Kingdom Lake. She and Pat also enjoyed square dancing and were members of a local group named the Square A's.
Nita was preceded in death by her mother and father, Tulsa and Woodrow Hendricks.
Survivors: Husband, George W. "Pat" Patterson Jr.; children, Raymond W. "Butch" Sirkel and wife, Cindy, Michael Scott Sirkel and Gary Alan Sirkel and wife, Sandy; grandchildren, Ashley Elizabeth, Stephanie Anne, Caitlin Laurie, Geoffrey Austin, Savannah Paige, Samuel Austin Woodrow and Kalli Grace Sirkel; and great-grandchild, Mallory Grace Sirkel.
