Karen, where do I begin? I’ve only known you for 8 1/2 short years but I feel like I’ve known you forever. You made everyone who ever met you feel that way. We did so much together starting with our love of saving animals. I will miss you for the rest of my life but I know you are with your daddy and Clarence. To Mrs Boydston and Gary, my heart breaks for your loss, your daughter and sister was a special person but you already know that. Karen, I promise you we will make sure your fur babies are safe and loved. Fly high my friend until we meet again. I love you

Karen will be missed by everyone at Buddies Place. She was such a wonderful foster and friend to all who knew her. She rescued cats in need and would do anything to find them a home. Her compassion to help was never failing.

My Karen... I’ve spent my whole life with you in it. I’m not sure how to move on without you, but I know for certain that we will be together again. When we were 5, we started our own little rescue out of a small shed that didn’t even belong to us lol. Yep, that was us! 2 little kind hearted girls rescuing anything that moved. We had quite the collection going on! We saved big black Beatle bugs when we found them on their backs, we saved baby and full grown horny toads!... Well we thought we were rescuing them. We saved frogs and baby rabbits, then we moved up to the baby kittens and the stray dogs that roamed our way. Karen never stopped! She lived for saving! Not only animals but people as well. We were quite the pair! Our teachers even knew it. When we graduated elementary school they gave a special award out to one girl and one boy. Well there was no way they could only give me or her one and leave one of us out because They knew how inseparable we were they knew how inseparable we were So guess what!? Yes they gave us both one 💜. Well as we grew older Karen moved to Arlington. It hit me so hard. We lived such different lives. She didn’t marry until she met the love of her life Clarence and I had been married since I was 17. I raised 4 kids and she raised animals! I always told her she was the smart one lol!
Oh Karen,... I will miss you dearly. You take care of everyone and everything until I get there! Give everyone a hug for me and Fly High my sister. I will love you forever and you are so dearly missed.
Xoxo your bestie ❤️

I first met Karen about 30 years ago, and right off the bat we became fast friends; then we became Best Friends Forever(BFF). Every time I saw her at her workplaces, she was happy to see me, gave me a hug, and flashed that famous smile towards me. I was very happy for her to wed the love of her life, Clarence, and very sad for her at his passing. They are both together now, along with her Dad, and I hope to see them again when Our Lord calls me home.
May everyone rejoice at having known such a fantastic person!

Karen was a fun loving sarcastic beautiful person. We had many adventures working fast food together and hanging out afterwards while in high school. She was an amazing person. I feel blessed to have known her. She rocks!
