Lee was born December 6, 1934 in New Berlin, Illinois to James Genoa Myers and Mary June (Ryman) Myers. He was the 5th of 8 children. He served and was honorably discharged from the U.S. Army. His work career was in construction, starting in high rise construction and later moved to Texas and started in residential homebuilding. He retired from Fox & Jacobs/Centex Homes in 1996. After retiring, he volunteered for several years at Houston Habitat for Humanity. The last 2 years he loved his job as a school crossing guard for Grand Prairie Independent School District.
Lee was a lifelong Chicago Cubs fan, loved playing cards and dominoes, eating and talking to children. He was young at heart. He was preceded in death by his father, mother, 6 brothers and 1 sister. He is survived by the mother of his children, Gloria Neely, son, Richard Myers, Daughters Ronda Myers Griffin, Karen Myers, and wife, Roene Yeager, 4 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
