Leslie was born in Dallas, Texas on July 12, 1957. He had a career in the electrical industry for many years and was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Local 59.
He also worked for Kroger Stores before finally retiring. He attended City Church in Joshua, Texas.
Leslie had a passion for his church, his family, playing billiards with friends and family, and motorcycles. After his retirement, Leslie volunteered for Mission Arlington and the Grand Prairie Food Bank.
He is survived by sisters and brothers in law; Kathy and Matt Jackson, Debra and Tommy Robertson, Sharon and Jim Higginbotham; nieces, Kaci Iley, Kellye Harrison, Caitlin and Savannah Jackson, Savannah Sharpe; nephews, Jon and Jordan Higginbotham and Jacob Iley; great niece, Brooklyn Iley, great nephew, Gage Iley and many, many cousins. He is also remembered fondly by his childhood friend, Lawrence Latham and close friend, Danny Sharpe, as well as beloved family member, Wayne Wiley.
Preceded in death by his parents and nephew, Jason Sharpe.
A visitation for Leslie will be held Friday, June 24, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Grand Prairie Funeral Home, 733 Dalworth Street, Grand Prairie, TX 75050. Funeral service will begin at 11:00 AM. A graveside service will follow at 2:00 PM at Moore Memorial Gardens, 1219 North Davis Drive, Arlington, TX 76012.
In lieu of flowers, family would appreciate donations to Faith Presbyterian Hospice.
