Lois Marjorie Skinner Fee, 98, passed peacefully to her heavenly home on January 18, 2026. Lois was born on April 30, 1927, in Texarkana, Arkansas, to William (Bill) Isaac Skinner and Lillian Frances Moore Skinner. Lois grew up in Texarkana where she graduated from Arkansas High School in 1945 and was a member of the National Honor Society. Upon graduation, she attended a local business college, followed by employment with a law firm in downtown Texarkana.
On December 31, 1946, John T. Fee and Lois Skinner were married. They celebrated 74 years and one day together. In 1949, they moved to Grand Prairie, Texas, where they both worked for Chance Vought Aircraft (later LTV). Lois retired in 1986, where she worked as an administrative assistant. In her retirement, she spent many happy years doing things she loved such as camping in Arkansas, traveling all over the country, crocheting, quilting, and much more. She was a kind lady, full of wisdom, and loved by many. She was a great cook who could make a delicious meal out what seemed to be nothing. She was a follower of Jesus and a long-time member of Fairview Baptist Church in Grand Prairie, where she served on several committees over the years and spent many hours in the nursery. She loved dogs and her cat, Freddy. She loved gardening and most definitely had a green thumb.
Through the encouragement and assistance of her cousin Traci Skinner Jones, Lois is a member of Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) and fairly recently became a member of Colonial Dames.
She is predeceased by her parents Bill and Lillian Skinner, and brother Ronald Leroy Skinner.
She is survived by her son John H. Fee (Pam); daughters, Marla Bull (David), and Rosie Newell (John); grandchildren Rachel Gralapp (Daniel), Isaac Fee , Matthew Newell, and Brandon Newell; great grandchildren Hannah Gralapp, Zachary Gralapp, Wesley Fee, and Will Fee. She is also survived by her sister, Billie Jean Martin of Fairfield, California, many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
We will miss her greatly but rejoice in knowing she is no longer suffering and is with her Savior, Jesus. We are thankful to have had Lois in our lives for so many years and will forever cherish our special memories of her.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 28, 2026 at 11:30 a.m. with a service to follow at 12:00 noon at Grand Prairie Funeral Home in Grand Prairie. Interment will be held on February 4, 2026 at 1:30 PM at Southland Memorial Park in Grand Prairie
