

Luis grew up in Pearsall and graduated from Pearsall High School in 1966. He attended Mountain View Community College and worked in CAD Design. He worked for Koch-Glistch for 40 years and retired in 2012. He met San Juanita at a Dairy Queen when he asked a friend to go talk to her. They dated for 3 years and were married August 5, 1972.
Luis was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church where he helped with the collection plate. He was a quiet, generous man who enjoyed fishing and watching sports. He cheered for the Dallas Cowboys. Luis was a loving husband and supportive father. He played football outside with his sons and taught them how to use tools and be a handy man. Luis had a passion for western movies and enjoyed going to the theater. He played bass guitar in the Moon Dreamers Band and like country music, specifically George Strait.
Luis is preceded in death by his mother Agapita Saenz Rodriguez, brother Gilbert Rodriguez and sister-in-law Naomi Rodriguez.
He is survived by his wife San Juanita Rodriguez; sons: Michael Rodriguez and his wife, Robin, Joel Rodriguez, Gabriel Rodriguez; grandchildren: Jackson Rodriguez, Christian Rodriguez; father Nicolas Rodriguez; siblings: Consuelo Trevino and husband, Rudy, Nicolas Rodriguez Jr. and wife, Gloria, Oscar Rodriguez and wife, Socorro, Leonardo Rodriguez and wife, Nina, Catarino Rodriguez and wife, Silvia, Mingo Rodriguez, Armando Rodriguez and wife, Dora; sister-in-law Ramona Rodriguez; half brother Norbert Rodriguez and wife, Misty; half sister Dora Gonzalez and husband, Randy, Silvia Rodriguez and husband, Victor and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
