

Martha Kay Seidlitz, 95, longtime resident of Grand Prairie, TX, died at the VIP Living Center in Irving, TX., Sept. 16. Funeral services will be at 10:00 am Saturday, September 21 at Bean Massey Burge Funeral Home, 2951 Belt Line Rd., Grand Prairie, TX, with pastor, Ed Miller, of Inglewood Baptist Church of Grand Prairie, officiating. Burial will be at Highland Cemetery at 3:00 p.m., Sept. 21, in Iowa Park, TX.Ms. Seidlitz was born Dec. 5, 1917 in Iowa Park, TX to Julius Albert Seidlitz and Annie Marie Kuehn Seidlitz. After 24 years of dedicated service in the administrative department with Keebler Company, now Kelloggs Company, she retired. Kay then became a dormitory “mom” at Blinn College in Brenham, TX. She enjoyed volunteer work in different areas of the community. She was a past member of American Business Women’s Association, the Senior Citizens Center of Grand Prairie, AARP, The Golden Age club of Grand Prairie, and Inglewood Baptist Church. Kay was a talented chef and treated her family to many delicious holiday dinners. Her parents; brother, Curtis Seidlits; and sisters, Laura Seidlitz, Judy Humphrey, Clara Vaughn, and Lillie Chappell preceded her in death.She is survived by nieces and nephews and many grand and great- grand-nieces and nephews.The family would like to express their gratitude to the members of Inglewood Baptist Church, Baylor Hospital-Irving, Mountain Creek Retirement Home, Avanti, Vitas Hospice, and the VIP Living Center at Irving.Memorials are suggested to American Heart Association.
