

Mary Aline Beavers, 82, of Arlington, TX, passed away on Tuesday, March 10, 2015. She was born in Pineville, Mississippi on September 1, 1932, to Arthur and Myrtle Williams. She was the eldest of three children, with two brothers, Gene and Butch. Mary attended Louisiana State University and married her college sweetheart, Dale Beavers in 1952. Dale joined the Air Force and they lived all over the world. They had four daughters: Susan Anne Brown, Kathryn Lynn Williams, Laura Kay Reinhold and Mary Beth Laakso. After Dale retired, they settled in Texas. She preceded in death by her parents, her brother Butch Williams, and her sons-in-law Bonell Caudill, Martin Nealon and Salvador Zavala. She is survived by her four daughters, Susan, Kathryn, Laura and Mary,her grandchildren, Sarah Arcement, Warren Brown, Melissa Densberger, Jaime Chrimes, Lauren Nealon, Dale Zavala, Alma Zavala, Nicole Hessel, Nina Caudill, Hailey Castro, and Samantha Castro, great-grandchildren Sydney Arcement, Sloane Arcement, Luke Chrimes, Eli Blair, Jacob Roark, William Pulley, Layla Castro and Thomas Brown. Mary was an avid reader and instilled the love of reading in her children and grandchildren. She spent many years in the banking industry, but her passion was volunteer work and helping the less fortunate. In her younger years, she enjoyed sewing and needlework. She was an accomplished seamstress who made most of her daughters’ dresses. In later years, her interests moved to sports. She was an avid Texas Rangers fan, almost never missing a game on television. She enjoyed football and her favorite players were Aaron Rogers and Colin Kaepernick. She loved live music, particularly the blues. Mary was an excellent cook and enjoyed cooking for her family, especially for parties and family get-togethers, and she enjoyed baking during the holidays. Mary and Dale were famous for their homemade Kahlua and Bourbon Balls at Christmas. More recently, she was involved with a Mission Arlington church group, that met at Arlington Plaza Retirement Community. Mary will be missed by the many friends and family who knew and loved her.
