Mary Ann Kirk

Mary Ann Kirk was born Mary Ann Wares on January 24th, 1944 to Clyde and Edna Wares in Beaver, Oklahoma. Mary Ann grew up in Liberal, Kansas and finished her elementary and high school education there in 1962. She married Stanley Kirk on February 1st, 1969.

Mary Ann worked for over thirty years for the Brickman's Carpet Company and then served at Sundance Square in Fort Worth in Accounts for over 10 years. Mary Ann was an active member of Inglewood Baptist Church. She accepted Christ as her personal Savior in May 1987 and was baptized on May 31st, 1987. She served in the children's ministry for over 40 years teaching in the 2nd and 3rd grade children's classes in Sunday School. As a member of Inglewood, Mary Ann was faithfully involved in the Women's Bible Study group for many years. Even in her latter years when she was physically unable to attend, she always secured the Ladies Bible Study Book so she could follow along on what the ladies were studying.

Mary Ann was preceded in death by her parents, Clyde and Edna Wares, as well has her sister-in-law, Carmeleta Kay Wares (wife of her brother Bruce Wares).

Mary Ann is survived by her husband of over 57 years, Stanley Kirk and her brother-in-law Charles Kirk and his wife Melody Kirk of North Richland Hills, Texas. In addition, she is survived by her brother Bruce Wares of Wichita, Kansas. She is survived by her son Terry Kirk and wife Ronda, and grandsons, Stanton Kirk of Topeka, Kansas and Kody Kirk of Alaska. She is survived by her son Matthew Kirk and wife Julie as well as granddaughter Tabatha (Tabbie) of Greenville, Texas and Grandson, Andrew Kirk of Hawaii. She is also survived by Great Grandson, Max Young as well as many nieces, nephews and a host of friends.

Mary Ann will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Visitation will be held at Inglewood Baptist Church, 1901 S Carrier Pkwy, Grand Prairie, TX 75051, on March 14, 2026, beginning at 11:00 am.

A Memorial Celebration will take place at Inglewood Baptist Church, 1901 S Carrier Pkwy, Grand Prairie, TX 75051, on March 14, 2026, beginning at 12:00 pm.
