Mateo Bernabe Bahena, 59, passed away on July 11, 2026. He was born September 21, 1966, in Mexico, Mateo will be remembered with deep respect and enduring affection by all who were blessed to know him.
Throughout his life, Mateo carried himself with steady courage and quiet strength—resilient in the face of life’s demands, patient in his dealings with others, and faithful in the way he lived and loved. He was a kind-hearted and compassionate presence, a loyal friend and a devoted husband and father whose care was shown not in grand displays, but in consistent, hard-working dedication.
Mateo was the son of Quintin Bernabe and Mariana Bernabe. He built his life with purpose and perseverance, graduating college and giving of himself through his work as a teacher. He also devoted himself to lawncare, approaching each responsibility with the same diligence and pride, earning the trust of others through reliability and honest effort.
Mateo was married to Isabel Ixta Casteo, and together they had three children. Those closest to him knew a beloved and cherished man whose devotion ran deep—someone who offered steadiness, warmth, and a gentle spirit that made others feel safe, seen, and supported.
