

Max Addison passed away on January 9th 2014. Max was born 0n October 10th 1941 at his family’s farm in Wolfe City, Texas. He graduated High School in Midland, Texas in 1961. He served in the United States Military branch of the Army and was honorably discharged in January of 1962.
Max attended North Texas State University where he earned his bachelors degree of Science in 1966 and went on to earn his Masters degree in Psychology in 1968.From 1967 -2006 Max spent his professional career creating and implementing improved training methods for professionals and families in the care of the mentally handicapped. During his career Max authored and/or coauthored 36 published books and pamphlets, another 11 professional publications, and 7 professional movies all based on the improvement of the quality of life for the mentally handicapped. After his retirement he spent his time working on his cars and computers, which were both passions. His cars being his greater life-long passion. He also enjoyed spending time with his friends Teresa and Jim Gibbons, and his very close high school friend, Dwayne Lieske. Max is survived by his sister, Mary Catherine Byrd and husband George of Cypress, Texas. Son, Max Ryan Addison, Jr. and wife Roxanne of Whitesboro, Texas
Grandchildren: Matthew Ryan Addison, Tyler Christian Addison, Aubree Marie Addison, Eli Wesley Addison, Great-grandchild: Emilyn Michelle Addison
and many very loving cousins.Max was preceded in death by his mother Era Marie Lawler and his father Fred Addison. He was a great father and irreplaceable friend.
