

Mona Lee Robison Cherry, 96, passed away October 29, 2013 in Arlington. Mona was born April 5, 1917 in Chandler, Texas to William Rogers Robison and Reba Riggs. She retired from Alcatel at the age of 65. Mona was a member of the Women's Veterans Auxiliary. She liked to travel with the Ladies in the Veterans Auxiliary, as they took many trips to conventions. Mona liked to fish in many of the lakes in East, Texas and she also enjoyed working in her yard. She loved all of her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren dearly. Mona was an ardent, loyal and faithful fan of the Texas Rangers and the Dallas Mavericks. Mona never missed a chance to go to a Rangers game or watch the games on TV. She was preceded in death by her sister, Inez Wimbish; brothers, James Robison and Milford Robison; Mona is survived by 2 daughters, Joyce Green and husband Harry, Linda Lozano and husband Carlos; 1 son, A. Richard Cherry; 6 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Visitation: 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., Monday, November 4, 2013 at Bean-Massey-Burge Funeral Home Chapel with the Funeral Service to follow at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the V.A. Auxiliary at the V.A. Hospital in Dallas.
