

Paula Dell Sugg, born Paula Dell Childers, entered this world on February 27, 1945, in Brady, Texas, to Cecil and Pauline Childers. She was the eldest of seven children and grew up surrounded by the love of her three brothers and three sisters.
Paula was a lifelong learner with a natural curiosity and creativity. After graduating high school, she pursued higher education at the University of Texas at Austin, where she studied bookkeeping. Her studies later continued at Mountain View College and the University of Texas at Arlington, where she explored art history, British literature, and painting. She also earned her Real Estate Broker’s license. Paula had many passions in life, including painting, gardening, and spending time by the ocean.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Cecil and Pauline Childers; her beloved husband of 39 years, Donald Weldon Sugg; her brothers Mike Childers, Jesse Childers, and Henry Childers; and her youngest sister, Judy Ray.
Paula’s legacy of kindness, thoughtfulness, and love will live on in those who survive her: her husband, Glenn Moore; her sisters, Martha Nevers and Suzanne Wolf; her children, Shelley Tucker, Debbie Carroll, Scott Sugg, Jennifer and Kimbery Johnson; and her cherished grandchildren, Garrett and Colin Tucker, Scottie Sugg, and Ja’de Sugg. She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and friends who loved her dearly.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 2, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Bean-Massey-Burge Funeral Home, 2951 S. Belt Line Road, Grand Prairie, Texas. A funeral service celebrating Paula’s life will take place at the funeral home on Friday, October 3, from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m.
