Philip was raised in Fort Worth and attended Paschal High School where he graduating in 1974. While in high school he participated in Martial Arts and always had an interest in the mechanics of cars and motorcycles. He initially met his future wife, Cathy, at a disco. Then one week later, on February 3, they bumped into each other at a Boston Concert. He asked her out by sending her 1 dozen red roses for Valentine's day. They were married on September 8, 1979 and settled down in Arlington. They recently celebrated their 39th Wedding Anniversary.
Philip was stoic, tough and competitive. He loved spending time with his family and held old fashioned morals and beliefs. He was a history buff who loved to travel, and continued to work on cars and motorcycles. He worked in upper management for Penske and Ryder for 25 years. After retiring he spent the past few years working as a security guard. He loved to ride his motorcycle and play World of Warcraft.
Mr. Hunter is survived by his wife, Cathy; children, Joseph Asher Hunter and his wife, Shelbie, Wayne Nobles Hunter, Kayln Renee Hunter; grandchildren: Landon Rae Hunter, Abagail White, Gaige Asher Hunter, Aiden Dwain Ortega, Jaycee, and Bonnie Rayne Hunter; and siblings, Denise Day, Elizabeth Ross and her husband, Jerry and David Hunter and his wife, Dorreta.
