Phillip grew up in Grand Prairie and graduated from South Grand Prairie High School. After graduation he served 6 years in the U.S. Marine Corp. Upon returning home he had a son Michael, and worked as a plumber in the family business “City Plumbing”. Soon after, he had his daughter Heather then 2 more sons; Shawn and Blake. A dedicated father and hard worker, he taught his children the benefit of a good days work. For a short period of time he had a business with his oldest son Michael and eventually opened a plumbing company all on his own. Phillip was a cup half full man who wanted to make everyone around him as happy as he was. He was hilarious to be around and would not have wanted anyone to wear black to his own funeral. Phillip enjoyed hunting, fishing, spending time with his grandchildren and cooking. He was a wonderful cook and a master at the bar-b-que pit. Along with cooking he always had a garden, many times way too big for him to handle. It was a regular occurrence for children and grandchildren to come help pick watermelons and the whole neighborhood would receive fresh vegetables. He is preceded in death by his father Leslie Moore and sister Virgie Palmer.
He is survived by his mother Maerene Moore; children Michael Moore, Heather Taliaferro, Shawn Moore, Blake Moore-Mooneyham; grandchildren Cobe Moore, Cheyenne Taliaferro, Bradley Moore, Hannah Sharp, Madison Taliaferro, Matthew Moore, Kade Maxfield, Parker Moore-Mooneyham and Ryder Moore-Mooneyham; brothers Charles Moore, James Moore, Jimmy Moore, Greg Moore; 8 nephews and 3 nieces.
