Phyllis Denise Christian Hare, 57, of Grand Prairie, Texas, passed peacefully, surrounded by family on Thursday evening December 6th, 2018 at Arlington Memorial Hospital. After her long and courageous battle with cancer she now rests tranquilly pain free in heaven with the angels.
Denise, as she preferred, was born on October 14th, 1961 at that same hospital to Gilbert Wayne and Patricia Ann Vines Christian of Rice, TX. She graduated from Blooming Grove High School in 1980. She had a wonderful and loving relationship with her daughter, Kelsee Leigh Holland, 30 and Denise raised her with the love of her life, Robert Lee Hare since 1991. She was a caring, loving person that was always available. She was an amazing mother, daughter, sister, wife, and friend. She was stern but fair and wasn't afraid to tell it like it is. She was a shining example of hard work and determination, with a splash of sass.
She spent many years as a dedicated supervisor and team lead for several pharmaceutical companies for most of her life. She created wonderful relationships through her hard work, commitment, and wholehearted support of her employees. Denise was widely loved by all she met. She could fit in with any crowd, but she had a tightly knit group of friends whose relationships were priceless to her. They went on vacations, had adventures together, and experienced life vivaciously. Denise and Robert rode Harleys together, extending their many close friendships. Her favorite place to be in the world was on the beach; toes in the sand, a margarita in hand, relaxing next to her husband. She loved animals and leaves behind her latest pets, Greyson, her cat, and Riley, her dog. Her laughter, wit, and sense of humor can never be replaced and will be forever missed.
Denise was preceded in death by her grandparents, father G. Wayne Christian of Rice, TX, two brothers, Kerry Christian of Rice, TX and Merrill Christian of Burleson, TX, and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Denise is survived by her devoted husband Robert L Hare, her daughters Kelsee Leigh Holland and Tanya Swopes, her loving mother Patricia Christian, sister in-law Kelly Fortson as well as close extended family and loved ones.
