Redrique “Red” Jenkins was a beloved father, son, partner, family member, and friend whose kindness, humor, and generous spirit touched the lives of many. To know Red was to know someone who showed up. He was always willing to lend a hand, offer advice, share his knowledge, or simply be there when someone needed him. He had a kind heart, a gentle spirit, and a gift for making people feel welcomed and loved.
Red was a proud and loving father and leaves behind his three beautiful daughters, Amaiyah, Illyanah, and Kaizley, and two bonus children, Dallas and Kaiden. Being a father was one of the most important roles in his life, and his children will forever carry his love, lessons, laughter, and memories with them.
Throughout his career, Red was known as a quick learner, natural leader, problem-solver, and someone who willingly shared his knowledge with others. His entrepreneurial spirit led him to establish and operate his own freight business with Kayla. Through his work, he was able to pursue something he truly enjoyed—traveling. He loved discovering new places, meeting new people, and experiencing the adventures that came with life on the road.
Outside of work, Red enjoyed cooking and grilling, sports, movies, music, games, and, most importantly, spending time with the people he loved. He had a wonderful sense of humor and a unique ability to bring people together. Some of the memories his loved ones will treasure most are the simple moments—sharing a meal, laughing together, watching a movie, traveling, playing games, or simply hanging out.
Red is also survived by his mother, Cynthia; his father, Reggie; his life partner, Kayla; and a large and loving extended family of aunts, uncles, cousins, and cherished friends.
Red’s passing leaves a profound void in the lives of those who loved him. He will be deeply missed, but his memory will live on through his children, his family, his friends, and every person whose life he touched.
He will live on in the stories that begin with, “Remember when Red…” and in the laughter that follows. He will live on in the kindness he showed, the knowledge he shared, and the memories he created.
Red was here. Red was loved. Red made a difference. And Red will never be forgotten.
May we honor his memory by celebrating the life he gave us—the love, laughter, kindness, adventures, and countless moments that made him uniquely Red.
May his memory forever be a blessing to those who knew and loved him.
Until we meet again, may he rest peacefully, knowing that he was deeply loved, profoundly missed, and forever remembered.
