Richard Gene Briggs, 66, of Grand Prairie, Texas, passed away October 3, 2014 in Dallas. Mr. Briggs was born January 12, 1948 in Chariton, Iowa to Pearl Gene Briggs and Edith Wanda Richards. Mr. Briggs served in the United States Marine Corp in 1967-1968, earning a Good Conduct Medal and a National Defense Service Medal during his enlistment.
He is survived by his wife, Brenda Briggs; daughters, Andrea LeCroy and husband, Michael, DeeDee Turner and husband, Michael, Christy Jordan, Stephanie Johnson and husband, Marc; grandchildren, Elizabeth, Victoria, Catherine, Madeline Turner; Payton Cathey; Tyler Jordan, Dylan Jordan and Landrie Johnson; mother, Edith Wanda Briggs; siblings; David Briggs and Sandy Williams. He is preceded in death by his father, Pearl Gene Briggs.
Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 P.M, Tuesday, October 7, 2014 in the Chapel at Bean Massey Burge Funeral Home, 2951 S. Beltline Road, Grand Prairie, Texas 75052.
