Robert Esparza, 82, of Dallas Texas “Little Mexico,” passed away peacefully on May 18, 2025, surrounded by his loved ones.
Born on March 20, 1943, Robert lived a life full of love, laughter, and dedication to his family. He worked as a foreman for over 35 years at Tidwell Industries and Superior Custom cabinet, where he was respected for his work ethic and leadership.
Robert had a deep love for sports and spent many years coaching youth soccer, football, and baseball. He found great joy in mentoring young athletes and being part of his community through sports.
He was also well known for his vibrant spirit and sense of humor. Robert had a special way of lighting up every room he entered and never passed up a chance to make someone laugh. At home, he was the heart of the family — always dancing around the house, cracking jokes, and making sure everyone was taken care of before himself. He found joy in the little things, especially in entertaining his grandchildren and working on his beloved dark blue 1995 Chevy Stepside pickup truck.
He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Tina Carrasco Esparza; his children, Gina Esparza, Robert Esparza, Lindsay Esparza and Brian Esparza; Adriana Esparza; and his cherished grandchildren, Robert Anthony, Brittany, Matthew, Haley, Citlali, Eli, Julianna and Christian Esparza, Victoria and Michael Del Bosque, Isaac Bustos and many nieces and nephews; preceded in death; father, Jesus Esparza; mother, Herlinda Esparza; brother, Ruben Esparza and Alfonso Esparza; sister, Gloria Esparza.
A Catholic Mass will be held on Friday, August 1, 2025, at 10am, at Calvary Hill Funeral Home & Cemetery, 3235 Lombardy Ln., Dallas, TX. 75220. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him. Rest in Peace Pops.
