Arlington -- Robert E. White, born on July 17, 1923, passed from this life to his eternal home on Wednesday, August 4, 2010 after an extended illness while his wife of sixty-six years at his bedside.
Visitation: 6-8 p.m., Thursday at the funeral home. Funeral Service: 9:00 a.m., Friday, First Baptist Church of Grand Prairie. He served in the U.S. Navy on the USS Borie, the last ship sunk, during World War II. He graduated from Texas Tech University in three years with a degree in Electrical Engineering. He was a long time member of First Baptist Churdch of Grand Prairie. Survivors: wife, Erma White; daughters, Cary and husband, Fred Ogier and Lisa and husband Ed Wright; five grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Survivig sisters; Ertis Cleo White Murphy and Clara Bow Whte Lansford.
